Conference “Free movement and participation of EU citizens -making it work for all” in Rotterdam

On the 4th of September representatives of Barka Network: Ewa Sadowska ( Barka UK) and Magdalena Chwarscianek ( Barka NL) participated (together with the representatives of the Municipality of Utrecht and the Hague, who invited Barka to come to the Netherlands) in a conference on migration within Europe. Minister Leers ( Ministry of Immigration, Integration and Asylum) was underlining, that migration was always a part of being European. Jacek Męcina ( Polish Ministry of Labour and Social Policy) was pointing out the positive implications of migration and underlining the necessity of integration. Ewa Sadowska spoke during the question time and said that thanks to Municipality of Utrecht Barka will start a pilot integration centre for Polish and other Eastern European migrants in Utrecht in Autumn 2012.
