Barka was invited by the Dutch embassy in Warsaw to take part in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of The Netherlands- Mr Lodewijk Asscher during his visit in Warsaw on the 30th of October. Also representatives of La Strada foundation and Warsaw University- Centre of Migration Research were present. Minister Asscher was especially interested in discussion about the temporary work agencies. Barka NL shared the experiences with such agencies operating in The Netherlands and recruiting mainly migrants- most often Polish -and how their actions sometimes lead to homelessness and vulnerability of recruited migrants. It was a very interesting meeting which the minister called ‘ an eye-opener’.
