On the 21st of January, Janusz Smura, the leader of Barka Team in Rotterdam was invited to share his personal experience of addiction and homelessness with the pupils of the Polish School (SPK) in the Hague.
Janusz explained how addiction took over his life and how he has been coping for already 18 years to lead a sober life.
The pupils watched also an informative movie about drugs and their impact on health and had got additional information on ways of seeking support in case of addiction.
We are especially honoured that this meeting was also joined by Mrs Renata Kowalska, the Consul of Poland in the Netherlands, to whom we could speak and hand over books about Barka.
